Government cuts

So we all have heard that the government is cutting spending everywhere. What I really do not understand is they are cutting important things yet they still have yet to cut very expensive performance shows such as the blue angles here in Seattle. I get that it is a show of our pride in our country, but we can't afford it. It takes a lot of money to get those jets in the air and it is paid by the government, yet we are cutting things that people need...I don't understand why that's ok.
